This Ti2 system has 3-D STORM capability, which will enable users to image with 20nm lateral and 50nm axial resolution. This can also be used for standard total internal reflection fluorescence (TIRF) imaging on an EMCCD camera. The system also has a Yokogawa-X1 spinning disk confocal system with a Photometrics Prime 95B back-thinned CMOS camera. Finally, to enable optogenetic manipulations, this system also has a Mightex Polygon DMD that allows for the precise activation or uncaging of light-sensitive proteins or molecules. For maintaining live cells, this system has an Okolab stage-top incubation system and a Mad City Labs piezo Z stage for Z-stack acquisition.
